Photo print behind ultraHD acrylic glass 120 X 80CM
Hanging lanterns inside the Wong Tai Sin temple, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
The original use of lanterns was primarily as a light source though in ancient China they were used to provide aspects of Buddhist worship.
The overlay of analogue film strip lends a certain mid-century feel, by combining the lanterns with the aged textures and analogue film strip lends the image a certain historical, mid-century visual style.
